The consequence is that many grandparents delay retirement to support another generation of their families.
-Career commitment: Some people find their jobs unpleasant and stressful, and they count the days until they can retire. Others could not imagine life without their jobs and plan to stay as long as possible.
-Leisure time activities: Another reason to retire is that life outside the workplace is more attractive. Workers who have hobbies, recreation interests, and active social lives are apt to retire earlier than those who do not. In addition, those who enjoy travel and doing home-improvement projects are more eager to retire.
