Who is wulfgar?

Wulfgar is warrior and herald to Hrothgar, king of the Danes. His presence at Heorot, Hrothgar's great hall, demonstrates Hrothgar's power. Wulfgar praises the king's generosity, and exemplifies other heroic values found in this early medieval poem. Wulfgar is praised for being both courageous and wise.
