New curriculum support materials

New curriculum support materials for Years 3 to 10 are now available, to assist teachers to implement the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.

These materials can be accessed from the new Year level pages or Learning area pages.

    Today the Minister for Education and Training announced Ms Pauline White will succeed Professor Patrick Garnett as Chair of the Board of the Authority.  Ms White will assume her new role from 18 December 2021.

    The Executive team and all staff at the Authority thank Professor Garnett for his leadership and contribution to the work of the Authority since its inception in 2012. We wish him the very best for the future. We welcome Ms White to her new role and look forward to progressing the Board’s strategic plans.

  • Schools are advised that the School Curriculum and Standards Authority Board has approved moderation activities for Pre-primary to Year 10 for 2022. This will take two forms: Moderation Workshops to develop a comprehensive and shared understanding of the Achievement Standards, and Curriculum and Assessment Seminars to develop a comprehensive and shared understanding of the mandated Principles of Teaching, Learning and Assessment in the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.
